PROFILE 

Kirsten Aubrey is a Canadian photographer, multi-media artist and musician.

Her work ranges from commercial photography, portraiture, fine art photography and creative projects for bands including live concert
photography.

In her work, she often investigates themes such as abstract liminal spaces, shifting identities, and sensory experience. Her approach to image making is informed by concepts such as nomadic convergences, environmental plasticity, and eco-feminism.

She has studied at Selkirk College, Alberta College of Art and Design and has Graduated from Emily Carr University.

Land Acknowledgement
I'm living and working in Calgary Alberta, traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut'ina, the Iyaxe Nakoda Nations, the Metis Nation (Region 3), and all the people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. I am the descendant of French and German settlers in this land. My relationship to land supports my practice as I question the mutability of the physical world, perception of reality and feminist knowledge production.
